Barlick Fell Runners came into being after an inaugural meeting held on 10 December 2012, when it was decided that there was a need for a Running Club based in Barnoldwick to cater for those who lived in the town and the surrounding area. We do not want fees to be a deterrent to anyone joining the club and so they have been deliberately set at a modest level as all the club looks to do is to merely cover its expenses.
Although the club is principally a fell running club, it also caters for other running disciplines such as cross country and road running. There are regular training sessions which cater for all abilities, from the absolute beginner to the experienced runner. Details of all the training sessions and social runs will appear on the web site.
There will also be regular off road pub/social runs on each Wednesday throughout the year and details of forthcoming venues will appear on the web site. Every one is welcome to come along to these runs, including members of other clubs.
Applications for membership are welcome from everyone, regardless of ability. The only requirement is that you enjoy running. For details of membership, please see the separate pages.
If you are not sure if the club is for you, why not come along to a pub run. You will be made most welcome, you can meet some of the members and judge whether the banter and atmosphere is for you.
Membership fees for the club are as follows:
Non-running Members: £2.50
Junior members under the age of 16 must be accompanied by their parent, guardian or other adult nominated by them, at all times and they will be responsible for their welfare, safety and behavior.
Parents or guardians will also be fully responsible for the welfare, safety and behaviour of junior members over the age of 16.
