Rows of logs were placed by the tracks to the parking areas at Letcliffe Park to help prevent people taking cars onto the grass several years ago.
Pendle Council's Parks department brought the logs from Marsden Park at Nelson, where woodland had been thinned out as part of improvement works.
The decaying logs are home to lots of tiny creatures and fungi are doing their bit as well to consume the wood.
Letcliffe's logs provide a fascinating range of textures.
