The Greyhound Inn, has been a hostelry for several centuries and in the late 18th and 19th century was a 'model lodging house' (a temporary home for itinerant mill workers).
It sits in a conservation area, nestled between a 16th century farm and several 18th century cottages. Being away from the immediate centre of Barnsoldwick the Greyhound has established itself as a very friendly and lively venue for entertainment.
Some of the regulars are second and third generation, showing how family orientated this pub is. It was these same regulars who joined forces and saved the pub from closure ensuring the survival of a vital community hub.
